Energy Likes to Move

Energy Likes to Move

Taoism has practices that help unite the mind, body and energy. Although the reproductive organs generate a lot of life force energy, they don’t do an efficient job of storing a lot of energy. Once a certain amount of energy builds up in the reproductive organs, it has to go somewhere. Taoists believe excess energy, in females, leaves the body through heavy menstruation. In males, energy leaves the body through excess ejaculation.

As energy builds up in the lower centers and reproductive organs, it can be directed upwards into the body to nourish health. This energy can be stored in the organs, bones, tendons, and glands. Energy can also be circulated in the acupuncture and deeper meridians. These energy pathways are like river beds that fill up with through consistent meditation, like a river swells after a consistent rain.
