Don’t try to control.
Let matters govern themselves.
The more rules there are,
The more rules will be broken. The more guards there are,
The more insecure people will be. The more clever the rules,
The stranger things become.
Therefore, the wise leader says: If I leave people alone,
They will transform themselves. If I allow quietude,
The people will find regular routines. If I don’t interfere,
The people will become prosperous. If I have no desires,
The people will return to simplicity.
