Bouncing Practice
Perhaps the simplest chi kung exercise is shaking or bouncing to open the joints and shaking the lymphatic system of the body. This can be done in a standing chi kung posture, or just with the arms to the sides. To practice bouncing:
- relax the body and concentrate on opening the joints
- push off the floor and bounce/shake the body lightly
- let the gentle vibration from the heels go through the skeletal system
- follow the vibration from the legs to the spine and neck, out the shoulders and arms
After the shaking, rest and feel openness in the joints. Feel energy entering and flowing through the body. Benefits of this include breaking up stagnation in the tissues of the body. Moving the fluids in the body (sexual organs, lymphatic system, circulatory system, and bone marrow).
