Write your Obituary, Stretch

Write Your Own Obituary

Similar to the visualizing your own funeral, another technique is to write your own obituary.  It is amazing how an entire life is summarized to 300 words or less; or maybe even 140 characters on Twitter.  What do you want those 300 words to say about you?  What impact do you want to have made on this world?  An obituary typically lists those that survived you; how do you want to be remembered by them?  Civic groups and philanthropic legacies are listed; will that section be full or empty?  So this is a very intense process; and may not be the kind of practice to dwell on continually (although it may be helpful as a daily reminder); it is very important to occasionally think about to ensure our actions match up with our priorities.
