Know Yourself, Be Content, Stay in the Center

Knowing others is cleverness.
Knowing oneself is enlightenment.

To overcome another takes power.
To overcome one’s self takes honesty.

Contentment comes when you know you have enough.
Adhering to the Tao faithfully requires staying in the center.

Know yourself, be content,
And stay in the center
At the moment of death.
Then your consciousness will live on.
