Feng Shui: The Living Earth
“It is said by the sages of China that neither Heaven nor Earth is complete by itself, and that it is left to Man, the mediator of the two, to complete things and bring them to perfection.
“The Taoist view is that conscious effort may, among other things, correct the natural outlines of the Earth’s surface to a more perfect configuration that will conserve and accumulate chi to the mutual benefit Earth, Man, and in the long-term, Heaven.
“The influence of the weather chi and five element cycles is important, but “blind” when compared to the ability of man to utilize, to the fullest extent, the latent chi of his abode, while living, for his own benefit, and, when dead, for the benefit of his descendants.”
