There are many paths available to attain enlightenment. It can be helpful if our spiritual habits are wisely chosen and practiced. It can be tempting to engage in searching endlessly, hopping from one system to another and another.
A Taoist perspective is that it is one’s own responsibility to learn what one’s spiritual needs are and how to fulfill them. Life has many tools to offer. The Tao is simply a finger pointing the way.
I think it can be helpful to treat a spiritual practice like an experiment. Try something and see if our life (health, relationships, community, financial situations, career), get better or worse. Continue doing what makes life ‘better.’ Discard behaviors that make life ‘worse.’ Good luck!
