Nutrition and Awareness
Another healthy habit is to raise awareness through a food diary. An easy way to do that is by taking photos of each meal or snack you have for a period of time. For instance, there’s a restaurant we like that has a fried snickers and ice cream option. If you know you’re going to have to take a picture of that and even report it back, to your nutritionist or share it with somebody who’s holding you accountable, you may think twice about eating it. Send me your pictures and I’ll send you a frown face or a smile face if I think it’s a good choice. 🙂
Staying Hydrated
Another habit to maintain a healthy body is to drink enough water each day. This may be four to six to eight cups depending on your weight, diet, age, and other factors. The large intestine will steal water from every other organ in your body to perform its function, which is elimination. This includes stealing water from your brain, skin, muscles, etc.
When we don’t drink enough water, we can’t eliminate waste properly, but every other function suffers as well. You have to drink the right amount of water for proper functioning of your large intestine. If you don’t, it’s like a trashcan that never gets emptied. You just keep eating and keep eating, and if you’re not properly eliminating that, then we suffer from autointoxication. This means that all the toxins in the large intestine go right back into your bloodstream because they’re not eliminating quickly enough.
Set alarms and hang note cards up as reminders to drink water. Eventually it will become a habit.
