As the Manual of Acupuncture puts it, the energy of Kidney One, known for its calming and descending quantities ‘returns the unrooted back to its source’. It is commonly used to quiet the mind, and for menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes and night sweats.

Clinical experience with Kidney 1 acupuncture point
